Evan's Plans

Agriculture is a key sector of Mississippi’s economy, and our government has failed to protect our farmers and ranchers from exploitative corporate businesses and failed to ensure Mississippians have healthy food options.

In Congress, Evan will fight to:

• Break up Big Ag monopolies and strengthen USDA’s tools to hold agribusinesses accountable

• End discriminatory practices within USDA and ensure Black farmers are given the fair compensation they are owed

• Eliminate the corporate capture of USDA so that our government finally subsidizes nutritious food options, bans unhealthy ingredients, and ends food deserts across Mississippi
